I am a lighting designer for theater, opera, dance, and music. I am based in Berlin, and work internationally.
Informed by a rigorous background in art photography and a passion for music, I often think of lighting design as four-dimensional composition: sculptural, pictorial, and musical at the same time; an all-encompassing vehicle for a communal event.
My work is grounded in dramaturgy and driven by the occasion; it encompasses a wide range of forms and aesthetics developed through enduring collaborations.
